Department of Paediatrics

Division of Pediatrics with latest teaching aids Multimedia, LCD Projector, declared open by Hon.Pro-Chancellor Dr.M.A.M. Ramasamy.

Special Features:

1. 2002 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit started with 6 bed and 4 ventilators and monitors.

2. 2003 M.D Postgraduate Course in Pediatrics started with 6 students

3. 2005 Pediatric Division upgraded into 5 units with 150 beds.

4. 2006 M.D Postgraduate Course in Pediatrics started with 10 students.

5. 2007 Pediatric Faculty members and Postgraduates contributed 22 topicsout of 150 topics in the IAP National Module for Undergraduates. The CD was released at the National Conference of IAP held in Mumbai.

6. 2007 1st Pediatric Alumni CME was organised by Pediatric Department

7. 2010 2nd Pediatric Alumni CME was organised by Pediatric Department

8. 2012 Silver Jubilee Celebration of Pediatric Division (1987-2012) – PEDI- SILVER celebration and UGC sponsored Pediatric Alumni CME on NEONATAL CRITICAL CARE workshop
